Pinterest use to have a feature called ‘Tastemakers’ which listed the top, I don’t know, maybe 20 pinners (measured by number of followers). They also use to have a tab of staff favorites which was also helpful for choosing who to follow. They’ve done away with these features, much to my distaste, so I thought I’d give you the low-down on who are my top 11 recommended pinners to follow. This list has a mix of design or diy bloggers, social media sites, magazines, etc. They are listed in no specific order and are based solely on my opinion. This is my blog, so I can do that. Besides, if you read this blog on a regular basis, we might have something in common.
1. Christine Martinez Others must like her pins, too. She has 985K followers. She’s the blogger behind Miles of Style. Her colorful, whimsical and on-trend pins always catch my eye. Some of my favorite boards are: Gadgets and Gear; Homie
3. People Magazine 2K followers. I don’t buy gossip mags (I just read them in the check out line) so this allows me to get my celebrity fix. A few of their interesting boards include: Star Worthy Gift Ideas ; Star Loved Recipes
4. Nester Smith 13K followers. A design/diy/inspirational blogger, her mantra is It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. I totally embrace that philosophy. She has sooo many inspiring boards. These are a few of my faves. : Goal-Art- Risk; Wow;
8. Young House Love 481K followers. John and Sherry Petersik have great taste and an eye for inspiring, yet doable, DIY pins. Sherry also co-hosts a quarterly Pinterest challenge, inspiring us to tackle some of the ideas we pin: DIY Inspiring Things; Art
Now, to be diplomatic, I ask that you weigh in on who are your favorite pinners. Don’t by shy to list your own boards.
