Pinterest is one of the hottest and fastest growing social media sites created in the past few years. With tremendous growth comes growing pains and a lot of questions. Though not sponsored by Pinterest, I’m a huge fan and wrote a post last year (check it out here) that answered a few of the more common questions. Since writing that post, my comments have grown and I have new questions in my inbox every day. Instead of making you search through the comments, looking for answers to your questions which may have already been asked and answered, I thought I’d address them one at a time. So start looking for a new Pinterest FAQ post each Friday where I will address one question of common interest.
Today’s question is: How can I unfollow someone on Pinterest?
You know the scenerio, somehow you ended up following someone who suddenly only posts pictures of crazy fingernail art, negative quotes, or meerkats, none of which you are interested. Now, everytime you log in, all you see is a screen full of Elvira nails.
To unfollow this person, find one of their pins and click on the pinners name underneath the image. Clicking on their name should pull up all of their boards.
Below their profile, you should see a grey-ed out Unfollow All button. It appears that it is not clickable, but it is. Click on this Unfollow All button and it should change to a red Follow All button. This means you are no longer following this pinner. If you made a mistake, you can click the Follow All button to begin following this pinner again.
Once you’ve selected Unfollow All you should no longer see pins from this person on your Pinners You Follow page.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other Pinterest questions.
