I mentioned here that I was participating in the Fall Edition Pinterest Challenge hosted by Young House Love and Bower Power. Yesterday, I posted my Kids Art Tube that I pinned onto my For the Kiddos pin board. Today, I’m sharing another idea from the same pin board about personalizing kid photos.
I fell in love with this idea when I first saw this pin:

This was another super easy project and I made my own version using the free photo editing tool, Picnik. First, I uploaded my image into Picnik and clicked on the ‘Edit” tab and then ‘text’:
I typed in my text, chose the font and the color I wanted, and then chose a cute little heart graphic for added effect. Finally, I saved my file and printed. Here is the finished product.
I created another version for my daughter titled, Kindergarten Favorites. It lists her current favorite song, food, tv show, movie, etc. I love this idea for keeping track of your kids likes and trends at different stages of their lives and plan to create new personalized images annually.
Have you created any projects from Pinterest lately?

love it! i’m participating in the yhl love challenge as well. i printed a copy of my grandmother’s birth certificate from 1904 along with a picture of her as a teenager, and framed them in a double frame. didn’t update my blog yet though because i’m a total slacker, lol. will do that today.
I love this idea! I need to do this too. I have seen some good interview questions you could use to ask older kids and put the answers right on the picture. I can’t wait to try it out!!
so great- I’ve always wanted to do this!!! I’m thinking of doing it for Christmas cards this year.
love, love, love your blog!
Cute must try idea!!! I’m all over this one!! Thanks for sharing!
[...] A couple of weeks ago, I shared a few sneak peak photos from our fall family photo session. Well, we received our disk of pictures and I knew immediately I wanted to edit a couple. There were great shots of the kids and I wanted to zoom in on just them. It was a great opportunity to try a photo editing project I “pinned” from the The Weekend Homemaker! [...]
LOVE THIS!!! I wanna see Anna’s. Did you frame them? Might make really fun birthday invites!
