More Bathroom Tweaking

A few weeks ago, I mentioned our mini-bathroom makeover here. I really like how it turned out but keep feeling like it could use a little something else.  I know it needs some art or pictures but beyond that I’ve been contemplating adding stripes to the wall.

After a little web browsing, I found these inspiration pictures to help fuel my decorating fire. (All images below are from Houzz.com)

I still have some Benjamin Moore Northshore Green paint leftover from when I painted the bathroom the first time. My thoughts were to take what’s left back to the paint store and ask them to add some white to lighten the color. I would use the lighter color to add some nice tone on tone stripes.

There is a great tutorial for painting stripes over at Young House Love. I’m giddy with excitement…about the end result…not the process of painting – yuck. But the great thing about have a small bathroom is it shouldn’t take more than an hour or two to paint. See – there is always a silver lining. I’ll share the results next week.

Your bathroom looks great so far! I recommend the stripes. I painted them in our guest room and love it (You can see my tutorial here: http://newcombhome.blogspot.com/2011/02/earn-my-stripes.html.

Can’t wait to see your finished product!

    • Hey Katie – great idea using same color with different finishes. I popped over to your blog and love the stripes! thanks!
