Family Room Progress: Art Wall Update

I know I haven’t posted much about what going on in this room. We’re working on little things here and there. Like the other day, I finally got around to filling the frames on our kids art gallery wall with, well…art. I hung the frames (see how here) before figuring out exactly what pictures to put in them but finally narrowed down my choices the other day. I see this as a rotating collection that will change as our art collection grows.

You may recognize the self portrait with the orange background from here. I’ve also been rearranging some pieces. I took apart the bookcase seen here and am using them as end tables. I don’t know if they’ll stay. Just trying some things out. The room is slowly coming together and the kids love it. More to come but for now, here is the view from my office. I love looking at the kid’s colorful art and those new blue lamps from HomeGoods aren’t bad either.

Looks great! I love the pops of color and of course, how sweet that it’s all your own unique art work.
